Creative Nation Brings Jacquees To Baltimore
Creative Nation brought Jacquees out to Baltimore’s Rams Head Live and for his first tour pop off, I am excited to see his what comes next! As a music lover l, particularly in R&B you enjoy performances like the one Jacquees of Rich Gang put on. The crowd and myself (lol) knew many of the songs word for word, which was a huge compliment for the young artist. His music created the right kind of ‘Mood’, also the title for his last mixtape hosted by DJ Spinz.
He performed one of my favorites with lyrics like, “Body is legit, Mama made you thick…” called ‘Come Thru’ ft Rich Homie Quan from his latest single release. His perception of love in his music like the song ‘Ex Games’, tells you that although he’s a young man, he wont be played. Then he cut up the song ‘Set It Off’ by collaborating with rapper & singer DeJ Loaf. This song is a lowkey freaked out Hip-Hop/R&B song that highlights the millennial battle of sexes and it only took DeJ Loaf “one time” to win Jacquees over on the track. Of course we had to have Mr. Hood Rich himself on a track, ‘On It’ ft. Birdman is definitely for the grown and sexy. I love that Jacquees added so much variety to his R&B mixtape and I believe the success of having 3 SOLD OUT shows in a row is the result of hardwork paying off. His Michael Jackson tribute was spot on, it wasn’t until I did further research and found out Jacquees has been including Michael Jackson’s dance moves since he was age 9. Some of the other songs Jacquees performed off of his mixtape ‘Mood’ and were ‘Ex Games’, ‘On It’, ‘B.E.D’, ‘Know You’, and I can’t forget to mention ‘Them Other Girls.’
The show was complete and exceeded my expectations from his entrance on the stage, how the male dancers rocked off for the sexy ladies, even the hype from the crowd knowing all the words brought me back when R&B was more sensual instead of just sexual. Rich Gang’s Jacquees remixed some classics just for the ladies like singing 90’s hit ‘Weak’ by SWV and R. Kelly’s ‘Down Low’ was how he stamped the night. Closing out to audience saying “Ain’t no party like a Rich Gang party, Ain’t no party like a Jacquees party”, which as you can see I vibed right along with #TeamJacquees! The young artist is traveling around the country on tour currently, continuing to carry the Rich Gang legacy. He ended with thank yous to his fans which is always important and you can check out live clips of my favorite moments below!
