Are You On Ten Yet: #1- Legendary Soundtrack Songs!!

What up y’all? The Ryan Coogler directed super hero flick Black Panther is here and it’s a run away success.  Unless you’ve been living under a rock you know the Marvel Universe films are big deals that people break down and scrutinize to no end.  The one thing that usually doesn’t get looked at are super hero movie’s soundtracks.  I believe this year will be different.  Coogler personally asked Top Dawg, Kendrick Lamar and the rest of the folks over at TDE to curate the soundtrack to King T’Challa’s adventure.  That’s one of the blackest things about this film, the importance of the soundtrack.  It got me thinking, what are my top 10 songs off soundtracks of all time?

10. X (Black Panther) – Kendrick Lamar feat. Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, and Saudi

9. Sinners (The Ladykillers) – Little Brother

8. Sex You Up (New Jack City) – Color Me Badd

7. Lose Yourself (8 Mile) – Eminem

6. How High (The Show) – Redman & Method Man

5. On Our Own (Ghostbusters 2) – Bobby Brown

4. Fight the Power (Do the Right Thing) – Public Enemy

3. Straight Up Menace (Menace II Society) – MC Eiht

2. Regulate (Above the Rim) – Warren G feat. Nate Dogg

1. Juice (Know the Ledge) (Juice) – Eric B. & Rakim

LV, Love for Free (Streets is Watchin’) Christion feat Jay-Z, Wu-Wear (High School High) – Wu-Tang, Best Things in Life Are Free(Boomerang) – Luther Vandross & Janet Jackson, Bout’ It (I’m Bout It) – Master P, You Aint A Killa (Soul in the Hole) – Big Pun, I Will Always Love You (The Bodyguard) – Whitney Houston, Purple Rain –  Prince
