Young M.A open’s Rap World To A New Era!! Covers FADER!!
The rap game will never be the same. The normally homaphobic rap world has excepted Young M.A. in all her lesbian glory and have propelled her to the main stream spotlight. She’s definitely not hiding her preferences like some of our beloved female MC’s of the past (Queen Latifah, Da Brat etc etc..) Does this mean we maybe ready for a gay male rapper? I personally think Young M.A. is a dope artist and has a great personality. We can’t turn back now, can we? Or would we want to?
Young M.A. is on the cover of The FADER’s first-ever “Sex Issue”. In the issue, she talks about her quick rise to fame stating, “I’m definitely grateful for the attention, but it’s weird. I still feel normal. Like, I don’t feel like I’m a superstar. I still put myself in a position to be humble, to be normal. I don’t live in a big house, I’m not real extravagant or anything. I just like to be regular. I don’t want to lose myself. I hear from all different people, not just people like me, or lesbians. It be straight people, it be grown men, it be grown women, people that have been sick or depressed that say “Oh, you made me want to go do what I want to do for myself and chase my dreams.” That’s my purpose.”
Along with getting a full cover story she has also done an acapella freestyle which is sexually explicit.
